Getting around

    24hr Services Available

    Most services in Glasgow are operated by First Bus. Adult single fares start from £1.95, payable by both cash and contactless on the bus.

  • Subway

    06:30 - 23:30 (Mon-Sat)

    10:00 - 18:00 (Sun)

    The subway system runs on an incredibly easy to navigate loop, with an inner and an outer loop running frequent services. Timetable and ticket information can be found here.

  • Train

    05:00 - 23:45 (Approximately)

    Train services in Scotland and throughout Glasgow are operated by Scotrail. Tickets can be purchased via the app or from ticket machines at stations.

Transfer companies

Most hikers on the West Highland Way undertake the challenge and cover each of the 96 mils on foot without issue, there may, however, be days where illness, injury or simply terrible weather causes you to seek alternative means of getting to your next destination.
